-Each tablet contains colistin sulphate 1.5 million i.u
-كل قرص يحتوي على كوليستين سلطات 1.5 مليون وحدة دولية.
2-dose ...الجرعة...
-1-2 tablet every 8 hour
من 1-2 قرص كل 8 ساعات
3-clinical pharmacology:-
-colistin sulphate is a polypeptide antibiotic which penterates into and disrupts the bacterial cell membrane .
-it exerts bactericidal activity against gm -ve bacteria including pseudomonas aeruginosa .
-it is not effective against proteus.
-colistin being not systemically absorbed does not constitute any problems as the product acts locally on intestinal infections.
-كوليستين سلفات هو مضاد حيوي من مشتقات بوليميكسين له تأثير سريع وقاتل للبكتيريا عن طريق تدمير الخلية للبكتيريا سالبة الحرام.
- كوليستين لا يمتص عن طريق الدم ولذلك فهو يستخدم في حالات تعقيم الأمعاء.

-colistin is used in infections caused by susceptible micrograms in gastroenteritis and entericolitis or bacillary dysentery.
-يستخدم كوليستين لعلاج النزلات المعوية الناتجة عن البكتيريا سالبة الجرام
5-contraindications...موانع الاستعمال...
-hypersenstivity to colistin sulphate.
-myasthenia gravis.
-pregnancy and breast feeding.
-لا يستخدم في حالة وجود حساسية لمادة كوليستين سلفات
-لا يستخدم في حالات وهن العضلات
-لا يستخدم أثناء فترة الحمل والرضاعة

-Not known in usual doses
7-precautions ...الاحتياطات...
-colistin may increase the action of muscle relaxants and contraceptive pills.
-colistin should be used with caution in patients with renal impairment.
-يستخدم بحذر في مرضى القصور الكلوي
- كوليستين يزيد من كفاءة الأقراص الباسطة العضلات والمانعة للحمل
